Strawberry Lemonade

With summers reaching its peak staying hydrated becomes essential however just water can get monotonous & boring at times. Therefore, after Aam Panna, here comes the next easy-to-make-and-amazing-to-sip from my summer thirst quenchers bank.

Strawberry Lemonade is a simple drink prepared from Strawberry & the all time favorite kitchen citrus fruit, lemons. Step out in the sun for some time & you feel completely enervated. Easy solution to reenergize - Sip This Drink !

It also goes well as a welcome drink for parties.

Ingredients:

5-6 lemons OR 1 cup of lemon juice
10-12 strawberries OR 1 & 1/2 cup strawberry puree
1 cup of water
1&1/2 cup sugar
salt to taste
few mint leaves
Club soda

Method:
Boil 1 cup of water & add the sugar to it. Stir continuously to dissolve the sugar & allow this mixture to cool. Your sugar syrup is ready.
Tip: Depending on how sweet you like your lemonade adjust the sugar quantity accordingly.

Cut the top of your strawberries & then puree them in a blender. Strain the strawberry puree to get a smooth puree.

Now cut the lemons in half & squeeze the lemon juice. This should give about 1 cup of lemon juice.
Tip: Don't throw the lemon skin, slice them & add to you lemonade concentrate later. Adds nice flavor to the lemonade

To make the lemonade concentrate, mix strawberry puree, lemon juice & sugar syrup with some salt, mint leaves & lemon slices. Store the concentrate in a bottle/jar & refrigerate till use.

You can serve strawberry lemonade with water or soda or a mix of both. But I like a little bit of fizz as it adds an extra zing to this drink.

While serving Strawberry lemonade, add some ice to your glass followed by strawberry lemonade concentrate (approx half of your glass) & remaining half with Chilled Soda/Water.

Decorate with a strawberry, lemon slice & few mint leaves. Drop in your straw & enjoy every sip of this beverage !!

Stay Hydrated, Stay Healthy!!
