Easy Coconut Ladoo Recipe with Condensed Milk

Coconut Ladoo is an easy and delicious recipe that can be made using just 2-3 ingredients - desiccated coconut, condensed milk and cardamom powder. Simply mix all these ingredients and roll them into a ball. Coat these balls into some desiccated coconut and garnish with dryfruits and you have a super easy, quick yet extremely tasty Ladoos ready. With festive seasons coming up, having such easy recipe at hand is always good idea. 

I made these for the occasion of Ganesh Chathurthi this year. I was pressed for time but wanted to make something sweet for this festive season. After a successful attempt at Milk Peda, I had experimented (while ago) with condensed milk and desiccated coconut to make these ladoos. They sure turned out delicious so thought why not share this easy and yummy recipe with you all. Be it any occasion -Diwali, Navratri, Ganpati Festival or a simple craving of sweets these ladoos are the perfect sweet that can be made in no time. Warning - These are extremely addictive and probably wont last that long but if needed these can stay good for upto a week Just store them in air tight container and keep refrigerated 

Now to the recipe...

Ingredients: (12-14 small Ladoos)
1.5 cups of desiccated coconut + 1/4 cup for rolling the ladoo (balls)
half cup of condensed milk
Pinch of cardamom powder
10-12 cashews finely chopped (optional)
2-3 pistachios roughly chopped for garnishing (optional)
1-2 tsp ghee (clarified butter)

In a pan add the coconut and roast for about 5 mins. Do not brown them. Then add the condensed milk and mix until all is well combined. Then add the cardamom powder and finely chopped cashews and keep mixing until it thicken and forms a ball/sticky dough. Take it off the heat. Allow to cool a bit, enough for you to be able to hold and roll into a ball . 

Rub some some ghee to your palms and take a small portion of the dough and make it into a smooth ball by rolling it between your palms. Roll these balls in the dedicated coconut and keep aside.Garnish with some pistachios or raisins.  These stay good for upto a week when refrigerated.

That's it, our super easy, quick and delicious Coconut Ladoos are ready. Serve these warm/freshly made  or cold. Enjoy!!
